CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
At Studio Orange Baton and Dance, we offer a wide variety of classes designed to inspire, challenge, and support students of all ages and skill levels. Whether your child is just starting out or training at an advanced level, our classes are structured to build confidence, encourage growth, and foster a lifelong love for movement and the arts. Intro to Acro
Perfect for new students, this class introduces the foundational elements of acrobatics, including flexibility, strength, balance, and beginner tumbling. Students will work on skills like forward rolls, bridges, and handstands in a safe, supportive environment focused on proper technique.
Aerial Skills(Baton)
Designed for twirlers beginning their high aerials journey, this class breaks down the technique and body mechanics for all high skills. Students will works drills and progressions for spin tricks, illusion skills and more in a supportive setting with a focus on proper form.

Acro I
Building on basic acro foundations, this class focuses on technique, strength, and control while introducing more challenging elements such as backbends, limbers, and beginner walkovers. Students must demonstrate readiness and body control to progress through level skills safely.
Ballet I
This beginner-friendly class introduces dancers and twirlers to classical ballet technique in a structured and nurturing environment. Students will learn basic positions, barre work, center exercises, and across-the-floor combinations, while developing coordination, posture, and musicality.
Acro II
Designed for students who have mastered Level 1 skills, this class progresses to more advanced acrobatic elements including back walkovers, front walkovers, aerial drills, and balance skills. Emphasis is placed on strength, control, clean execution, and safe progression.

Ballet II
For experienced ballet students, this class works to deepen technical skills. Dancers will refine their execution of barre and center work, turns, adagio, and allegro. Emphasis is placed on strength, and control, preparing students for more advanced ballet and lyrical choreography.​
Intro to Baton
This beginner-level class introduces students to the fundamentals of baton twirling. Students will learn basic spins, tosses, catches, and bodywork in a fun, encouraging environment. No prior experience is necessary — this class focuses on coordination, hand-eye control, and confidence with the baton!

Jumps/Leaps/Turns
This specialty class breaks down the essential elements of clean, technical jumps, leaps, and turns. Students will build strength, control, and flexibility through drills and progressions tailored for the growth and development of students and their skills.

Jazz
Designed to refine students jazz technique, this upbeat class focuses on strength, flexibility, sharp movements, and musicality. Students will work on isolations, kicks, turns, and combinations across the floor in a fun, energetic environment that encourages performance quality and self-expression.

Kinder Baton/Dance/Acro (Ages 3-5)
This energetic combo class is the perfect introduction to movement for our youngest students! Students will explore basic skills in baton twirling, creative movement, beginner dance steps, and acro foundations in a playful, structured setting. Emphasis is placed on coordination, rhythm, flexibility, and classroom etiquette — all while having fun and building confidence.
Intro to Jumps/Leaps/Turns
Perfect for beginners or those looking to build a stronger foundation, this class introduces the basic mechanics of jumps, leaps, and turns. Students will learn proper alignment, strength-building drills, and technique tips to set them up for success in more advanced classes.

Lyrical
In this class, students will explore emotional movement and musical interpretation while continuing to build a strong technical base. Students will work on smooth transitions, fluidity, and performance quality through age-appropriate combinations and expressive work and movements.

Twirl Time in the Grove
This self-guided class time is ideal for company or performance team students looking to practice their individual competition routines, refine tricks, or receive feedback in a relaxed and supportive setting. Open Gym is supervised by a staff member, but students are responsible for managing their own practice. A great way to build consistency and confidence!

Stretch & Flex
This focused class is designed to help students safely increase flexibility, improve range of motion, and enhance overall body alignment. Through a combination of dynamic and static stretching, strength-based holds, and mobility exercises, students will work toward deeper splits, improved back and shoulder flexibility, and greater control in movement. Ideal for students of all levels, this class supports injury prevention and helps unlock greater potential in jumps, extensions, and acrobatic skills.
Rolls & Contact (Baton)
This class focuses on the progression of students low/full hand work in twirling as well as rolls. Learning new contact and rolls material while also drilling previously learned material will assist students in developing their understanding of proper practice as well as increasing their mastery.

Strength & Conditioning
This training class is designed to build the strength, endurance, and body control students need to excel in all realms. Through a mix of targeted exercises — including core work, resistance training, balance drills, and plyometrics — students will improve their stamina, stability, and injury prevention. Whether preparing for competition or just looking to build a stronger foundation, this class supports total-body conditioning in a fun, and motivating environment.​
Class Placement
